Typhoon Texas Waterpark will host its grand opening in Katy tomorrow! Typhoon Texas, the 25-acre, fun-filled waterpark, features over 30 slides and water rides, as well as a wave pool and other fun activities. Typhoon Texas, Katy's own waterpark, is set to open over Memorial Day weekend at the end of May. The waterpark is located off of I-10 in Katy, and it will feature numerous slides and attractions, including a 25,000 gallon wave pool for all ages to enjoy. Some notable features of Typhoon Texas include a slide with a trap door and a slide where patrons play a game and shoot lasers at targets as they slide down. 

Progress is continuing on Katy's newest waterpark, Typhoon Texas, and officials have announced that construction is on schedule. The newest addition to family fun in the Katy area, Typhoon Texas Waterpark is scheduled to open May 28. This fun, water-filled theme park will feature several large slides, the newest water entertainment technology "X-Boarding," splash pads and smaller slides for young kids, food and drink vendors and more. The park will remain open from May 28 through Labor Day for the summer season.
